The International community faces the loss of a critical media stronghold of free speech.
The Pacifica Foundation, Inc is a non-commercial, educational radio broadcasting network, comprised of 5 FCC licensed FM radio stations.
Pacifica Foundation began as Pacifica Radio Network, Inc. in 1949 as a registered California non-profit operated in the public interest providing a uniquely independent platform for news, education and the arts. In recent years, Pacifica Foundation, although governed by a system of internal by-laws regulating election of board members, standing committees and meeting protocols, has been ruled through a strategy to capture the governance and financial leadership of the Pacifica National Board (the “PNB”).
A faction within the Pacifica Foundation is a group identifying itself as “New Day Pacifica” an association of people with a website and campaign mailers, has now gained control through lawsuits and gamesmanship (including Bylaws-violations, re-written and reinterpreted the governing Bylaws using a flawed membership referendum in 2020), which removed democratic controls over Pacifica’s program content, decisions on on-air personalities and management.
Individuals within the New Day Pacifica faction have created large financial losses to the foundation by selling real property, imposing bad fundraising and failing to see the shift in demographics of listeners and programing.
In 2020 Pacifica Foundation membership voted down the New Day Pacifica Bylaws referendum, which attempted to remove two separate classifications of workers at Pacifica Foundation: Paid employment and Volunteer employment. The 2020 New Day Pacifica referendum also sought to take power away from members known as Listener Sponsors.
After losing the 2020 referendum, in 2021 Plaintiff “New Day Pacifica”, an unincorporated association led by Jan Goodman, a Los Angeles area lawyer, filed a lawsuit against the Pacifica Foundation, asking for the Court to overturn the vote by Pacifica Foundation’s Listener Sponsors which rejected New Day Pacifica’s 2020 Referendum.
In 2022 the Court threw out New Day Pacifica’s lawsuit, but Jan Goodman remains in the picture driving New Day Pacifica, using Pacifica Foundation’s democratic governance to overturn board member and board director term limits, holding illegal votes to divide locally elected radio station board members and cancel properly noticed board elections.
“New Day Pacifica” has drafted an illegal Non-Disclosure Agreement which they are demanding every Pacifica Foundation board member sign or face removal from their respective Pacifica Foundation board or committee.

This audio is exemplary of how some Pacifica Radio Programmers are compelled to expose how the Pacifica (Radio) Foundation, Inc is being taken over by the Democratic Party through a clandestine group named “New Day Pacifica”. Because of the adverse actions conducted in darkness (closed meetings) by this group who has taken over the Foundation PNB-Pacifica National Board since 2022 by manipulating the network local board elections without the membership knowledge! It is remarkable how one Pacifica Radio Network (5 National stations) Programmer has dared to educate his Radio Station listeners (Members) at the WPFW 89.3FM in Washington, DC. One of the Five Pacifica National Radio Stations.
Because of Programmer Ron Pinchback’s expose of internal adverse actions by a group of PNB Directors at this Radio Network Foundation, now Ron is being persecuted by this New Day Pacifica PNB led ill group…
This group “New Day Pacifica” has been frivolously suing this Radio Foundation since 2020, costing hundred of Thousands of Dollars, then claiming the Foundation has been suffering financial decay! It also sold an important Foundation Asset, KPFK90.7 FM Radio Station in the Los Angeles area through hidden negotiations and agents! Again without Membership consultation.
And Finally in May 2025, this Radio Foundation’s founding Bylaws since 2003 were illegally replaced with this group “New Day Pacifica” own set of Bylaws without network Membership consultation !
